Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of https://toolkite.net and related browser-based tools operated by Toolkite ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the site or purchasing a Pro license, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

Toolkite provides free online utilities (including EXIF removal, image watermarking, JSON↔CSV conversion, mock data generation, meta tags, and text tools). Processing runs in your browser; we do not upload or store your files on our servers for tool use. Optional one-time Pro unlocks add features described on each tool page.

2. Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for complying with local laws when using the tools and any content you process.

3. Accounts & licenses

Free tools do not require an account. Pro features are unlocked with a license key stored in your browser (localStorage). Keys are personal and non-transferable unless we agree otherwise in writing. You must not share, resell, or publicly redistribute license keys.

4. Payments

Pro purchases are processed by our Merchant of Record partner, Creem. Prices shown on tool pages are in USD unless stated otherwise. Applicable taxes may be collected at checkout per Creem's policies. By purchasing, you also agree to Creem's applicable buyer terms.

5. Refunds

Because Pro licenses are digital and delivered immediately as a license key, we generally do not offer refunds after a key has been issued and used. If you have a billing issue, duplicate charge, or technical problem activating a valid license, contact us within 14 days of purchase at support@toolkite.net. We will review requests in good faith and may approve refunds or replacements at our discretion. Payment processor rules may also apply.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the tools for illegal activity or to violate others' rights
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, abuse, or disrupt the site or related services
  • Circumvent Pro license checks or payment systems
  • Misrepresent affiliation with Toolkite or scrape the site in a harmful way

7. Intellectual property

The Toolkite name, logo, site design, and original content are ours or our licensors'. You retain rights to files you process locally in your browser. You grant us no ownership of those files.

8. Disclaimers

The site and tools are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Browser-side processing depends on your device; we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Toolkite and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or business arising from your use of the site or tools. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for Pro licenses in the 12 months before the claim (or USD $50 if you have not paid).

10. Privacy

Our practices are described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
