Meta tags people actually paste into a layout
Title tags and Open Graph cards are unglamorous until a link preview shows the wrong image in Slack. Then everyone cares. This page is a small workshop: fill in the fields, watch a rough SERP and social preview, copy the tags.
Nothing here deploys for you. You still paste into Next, WordPress, or plain HTML. That is intentional — meta bugs are usually “wrong values in the template,” not “missing a SaaS subscription.”
What I check before shipping a page
- Title length — truncated results look sloppy; keyword stuffing looks desperate
- Description that finishes a sentence, not a comma-separated keyword salad
- OG image that still reads at phone size (logos alone often fail)
- Canonical consistency so you do not invent duplicate URLs by accident
Twitter / X cards and the usual surprises
Some networks cache previews aggressively. You can fix the tags and still see the old card for a while. Use each platform’s debugger when something looks haunted. Also: a missing `og:image` absolute URL is the #1 reason previews look empty.
Where generators fall short
Structured data for products, articles, or FAQs needs real content, not placeholders. Same for hreflang and app deep links. Use this tool for the shared baseline tags; keep JSON-LD next to the page that owns the content.
Previews on this page are approximations. Pixel-perfect card rendering still belongs to the networks themselves.
