About Toolkite

Toolkite is a small set of free utilities that run in your browser tab. EXIF stripping, watermarks, JSON↔CSV, mock data, meta tags, text cleanup — the boring jobs you do between “real” work. The kite logo is literal on purpose: put a file up, process it locally, fly it back. We do not want a copy of your stuff on our disk.

That choice is annoying for analytics and “AI features,” which is fine. Plenty of sites already ask you to upload a wedding album so a server can remove GPS. We would rather you keep the album.

Who it is for

Freelancers sending proofs. Devs flattening an API response before Excel gets involved. Anyone who pasted client text into a random online tool once and felt weird about it afterward. You do not need an account. Pro is a one-time unlock per tool when the free caps get in the way — not a subscription treadmill.

We are not trying to replace Photoshop, ExifTool, or a proper data warehouse. When those are the right hammer, use them. Toolkite is for the twenty-minute tasks that should not require installing anything.

How the site is put together

Domain: toolkite.net. Front end is Next.js; tools are client components (Canvas, parsers, faker, and friends). Hosting sits on Cloudflare's free tier because the product does not need a fat backend to babysit uploads.

There is a blog for longer how-tos and comparisons. Tool pages carry their own how-to steps and FAQs so you are not hunting through a knowledge base for “does this upload my file?” (It does not.)

Ads, Pro, and what we collect

If AdSense is enabled, Google may show ads on some pages. Pro buyers get fewer interruptions on the tools they unlock. License keys are checked so we can activate features; your project files still stay in the browser. Details live on the Privacy and Terms pages — written in plain language, not a novel.
